Clean up GUI text (#969)

Browse Source 
* Remove all statustip entries in the menu
* Prune text in Preferences
* Fix class labels
* Remove some redundant tooltips
* Improve some labels and dialogs
* Remove some more tooltips and fix a typo
* Update base ts file
* Fix typo
